Guatemala, how I love this country. Every time I come for a short visit, you inspire me all over again. The rich Mayan history and its ongoing influence play a big role here, and I feel very drawn to this perspective on life. The colonial architecture, stunning nature, beautiful textiles, volcanic landscapes, friendly people, and the vibrant culture make me happy to keep returning to this country.
Enjoy this glimpse of Guatemala, and in the future, I will highlight more locations on this map.

This romantic colonial city among the volcanoes and close to Guatemala City is my favorite city in Central America. Hidden gems, good restaurants, bars, boutiques, and beautiful streets make it a joy to wander around here.

The vibe and atmosphere here are incredible! With the boat taxis, you can visit all the spots around the lake, which is so much fun. In the main town, Panajachel, there's a huge market with beautiful fabrics, materials, and clothes. Each little town has its own charm and character. We stayed in Santa Cruz la Laguna, a quieter place with a lovely small hotel by the water—it was a joy to be there. San Juan La Laguna is definitely worth a visit, with its beautifully decorated streets and cozy bars and restaurants.

They might not be the best photos, but what an unforgettable adventure this was! I climbed the Acatenango volcano.
