ISLA HOLBOX
This island gave me such a wonderful, laid-back vibe; it had been a long time since I felt this relaxed. The water was an incredible light blue, the restaurants were delightful, and the friendly people made everything even better. I explored the area by bike, admired the beautiful art on the walls, and enjoyed walks along the water. I read a detective book I found on an old bookshelf and finished it while lying under the palm trees. Isla Holbox, I have truly enjoyed your paradisiacal, relaxing atmosphere.

What a charming town with a beautiful city center full of markets, music, dance, and restaurants. Yucatán is famous for its cenotes, which are natural sinkholes with stunning underground waters. Renting a scooter to explore these magical cenotes is a lot of fun. Tip: be sure to visit Chichén Itzá from Valladolid as well.

Chichén-Itzá
Chichén Itzá is one of the most famous archaeological sites of the Maya civilization. It is located in the heart of Yucatán. The most iconic monument at this site is the Kukulkán, also known as El Castillo, which has four sides and 365 steps that represent the solar year. Here, you can learn more about the Maya culture.
Mexican culture surrounds you with romantic vibes, lively squares filled with music, dance, and markets. There are nice restaurants and lovely courtyards. The buildings are brightly colored, and the people are friendly. Tip: take a day trip to Izamal from Merida.

Izamal
Welcome to the Yellow Town! In this magical place, almost all the buildings are painted yellow, making it a great spot to explore for a day. Izamal is also an important archaeological site of the ancient Maya civilization.

bacalar
Lake Bacalar, also known as the Lagoon of Seven Colors because of its blue and turquoise shades, is a beautiful place. The town of Bacalar has a great atmosphere with nice restaurants and bars. You can enjoy the water by kayaking, taking a catamaran tour, or trying out many other fun activities that this stunning crystal blue lake has to offer.
tulum
You either love it or you don’t. I, with my passion for discovering beautiful hotels and restaurants, feel completely inspired here. The architecture, the stunning decor, boutiques, the food and drinks — the concepts are just right here. That makes me a big fan of Tulum.
